Carmo is a Portuguese restaurant that doesn’t try too hard — it doesn’t need to. Inspired by Lisbon’s tiled corners, warm culture, and easy pace, Carmo invites the feeling of lingering dinners and shared dishes into a space that’s relaxed but never plain. The kind of place where you can sit for hours, order another bottle of wine, and forget what time it is.
For this project, I worked on the full visual identity — from the logo to the menus and color palette. The goal was to blend tradition without feeling overly nostalgic. Illustrative elements in the logo complement the warmth of the space, while the type choices nod to classic signage, paired with an unexpected color palette to keep things fresh. Carmo’s lively visual identity represents the soulful and welcoming character of the restaurant.
